Many of the key locations used in the new BBC TV Series ‘Poldark’ were filmed very close to The Commercial. In fact the main mining scenes (Botallack) are within walking distance of our B&B.

This particular walk can be made from the Commercial Hotel and takes in some of the most stunning coastline in Cornwall.
This walk explores the famous Botallack Mine with its dramatic Crowns’ engine houses perched on the edge of the cliffs. Cornish Mining Walks | 2. The Mines under the Sea – Geevor to Levant
A circular walk exploring the mining landscape around Geevor and Levant before heading down to the sea and following the coast to Levant Mine. These two mines are amongst a group of mines along the St Just coast which form the greatest concentration of submarine tin and copper mines in the world. There are fantastic views along this walk.
